Brigador Killers The Garage Guide
Turn the hideout into an arsenal: pads, gantries, missions, and extraction discipline.
THE GARAGE is Brigador Killers’ semi-sandbox campaign. There is no fixed narrative spine like OBSTACLE 1. Instead you live in a hideout, deploy through a mission selector, and grow a private arsenal across remixable sorties that can take several hours to fully explore. Dynamic layouts, enemy packs, and crate contents keep repeated missions useful. This guide explains how the base works, how saving and gantries prevent silent losses, and how to sequence early goals without feeding your best kit to a failed run.
If you have not finished the short tutorial campaign, clear Obstacle 1 first, then return here.
What the Garage is for
The Garage is both hub and factory floor. From here you:
- Store vehicles on gantries
- Kit operators and mounts at the Armory pad
- Scrap salvage into parts and fabricate new tools
- Spend credits on Merchant Causeway runs
- Choose increasingly difficult missions for better crates, parts, weapons, and chassis
Studio messaging frames the fantasy clearly: fight on foot or in vehicles, build and steal an arsenal, and bring the war home to the businessmen who started it. The Garage is where that fantasy becomes a loop instead of a scripted demo reel.
Pads and stations
Armory pad. Park a vehicle on the square until it highlights, then use the Armory table to offload inventory quickly, store weapons, load ammo, and mount guns onto hardpoint vehicles. With nothing parked, you edit the on-foot loadout. Deposit key items and gantry expansion kits here to unlock combat rigs and additional vehicle slots after the base finishes its cleanup delay. Details for mounts are in Mount Weapons; column rules are in Inventory and Loadouts.
Gantries. Each gantry stores one vehicle. Expansion kits found on missions unlock more slots after you extract and deposit them at the Armory. Expect a messy staging period before new gantries come online; they should be ready after you return from a subsequent mission. Vehicles not parked when you deploy may be auto-scrapped or lost—treat gantry parking as mandatory hygiene.
Scrapper and Fabricator. After the Garage intro, these pads appear so you can break vehicles into parts and rebuild or upgun them. Full recipes and Merchant links live in Salvage and Fabricator.
Mission selector. Deploy from the base into Crow’s Field, depots, Merchant Causeway, and harder remixable maps. Crow’s Field is tuned as a gentle recovery mission with low-tier gear, parts, and a vehicle even after brutal losses. NOSPOL Ammunition Depot rewards speed before reinforcements arrive. Merchant Causeway drops you at the shop immediately, then forces a NOSPOL-patrolled walk home.
Saving and loss rules
Progress saves when you enter the base, deploy on a mission, or press save in the pause menu. Items left on the floor and vehicles not on gantries are at risk if you forget. Death on a mission can strip the loadout and vehicles you brought, returning you toward a loyalist kit while keeping unlocked suit upgrades available to re-equip. That is why early Garage play should favor disposable firearms and cheap chassis until your pad literacy is solid—see Combat Tips for extraction habits.
Suggested early Garage route
- Finish the hideout introduction and note every pad location.
- Park the free Agrav hauler or starter vehicles on gantries.
- Armory: equip a modest primary, fill ammo, leave exotic guns stored.
- Run Crow’s Field to learn loot flow and practice Tab transfers under light pressure.
- Bring one salvage vehicle home, Scrapper it, and Fabricate something small (Chibi-Moto style utility or an upgun path you can afford).
- Only then attempt Merchant Causeway with a crate-capable vehicle and a fighting escort loadout.
- Reinvest parts into hardpoints and armor so Mount Weapons technicals become your default loud option.
Replayability and difficulty mindset
Missions remix spawns and crate tiers. Harder selectors hide better parts and weapons, but death stakes rise with whatever you roll out. Think like an insurgent quartermaster: never deploy the entire museum collection on one ego run. Keep a recovery kit in Armory storage. Use the Agrav hauler when fabricated pieces are too large to shove by hand. If a mission feels unfair after a patch, check whether you are fighting remixed vehicle spawns without a mounted answer.
How this page connects
- New to the game? Getting Started
- Binds rusty? Controls
- Parts economy? Salvage and Fabricator
- Stowage and death? Inventory and Loadouts
Master the Garage and the rest of Brigador Killers becomes a toolbox instead of a maze. Fail to respect gantries and death rules, and the sandbox will teach the same lesson the hard way every session.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is The Garage a story campaign?
No. It is a semi-sandbox focused on base building, arsenal growth, and remixable missions without a fixed narrative spine.
How do I unlock more vehicle storage?
Find gantry expansion kits on missions, extract, and deposit them at the Armory pad. New gantries come online after the base cleanup delay.
When does the game save?
When you enter the base, deploy on a mission, or use Save in the pause menu. Park vehicles on gantries before long breaks.
What is Crow's Field for?
It is a gentler mission meant to restore low-tier gear, parts, and a vehicle after failed runs.
Where do Scrapper and Fabricator fit?
They unlock after the Garage introduction. Use them to break salvage into parts and build or upgun vehicles—see [Salvage and Fabricator](/guides/salvage-and-fabricator/).
